(Al-Muthwaffifeen) 83 : 29
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ

Indeed, those who were Mujirims had been ridiculing those who were believers.

The Mujirims are the Arabic Qur’an–reading Fujjar who do not utilize their intelligence to fulfill the aim of life and who prefer the worldly and bodily life without considering the soul and the Hereafter. They are rejecting Adhikr and are arrogant toward It, as explained in verse 7: 40. They neither utilize Adhikr nor give It to others to utilize; thus they do not perish anyone except themselves, though they perceive it not, as explained in verse 6: 26. It is told in this verse that these worst creatures, mentioned in verse 8: 22, ridicule the one-in-a-thousand believers who follow and testify Adhikr. See explanation 2: 212–213; 34: 31–33; and 37: 34.
